What Sets Us Apart.

I’d like to thank you for taking the time to look over our website.  I know there are millions of other things you could be using this time for, so I really appreciate the time you are spending to see what we are doing and who we are.  I thought I’d go about explaining who we are a little different than what I had read on other sites, so if you would indulge me I’ll try to help you understand us by explaining who I am and why his site exists.  Thanks again for your time and I hope to hear from you in the future.

 As I said before my name is Odis Meredith.  I am a very blessed man for at least four reasons that leap to mind, the first three reasons are my children, Caden, Christy and Chase.  They are without a doubt the best creations I will ever have the ability to say I helped create.  The fourth is my wife Cindy, who not only gave me the gift of being a father, but for some reason supports every crazy idea I come up with.  Once you understand my blessings, you can better understand my motivations.  I started this company to build dream cars for my clients to give them the opportunity to own something they had always wanted.  However, this is not a selfless act. What I gain from this is another friend in the world and the ability for my family  to be proud of what their Dad and Husband does for a living.

 Cars and Trucks have always been a part of my life.  I built my first 1967 mustang in my mom’s driveway when I was 16 and was hooked.  Back then the pride in getting the car to run and look good made me feel good.  It was a since of accomplishment that I had never been able to duplicate in any other career.  I have worked as an engineer since college, developed several product lines for my employers that got me recognition and was rapidly promoted to run a division of a fortune 500 company, but no matter how many other people were proud of my career, I could never get the feeling that I had back in my mom’s driveway when I was 16.

 So here I am, after a long journey on a very long way around path, I have finally found where I belong and what I was meant to do and that is what Torque Customs is about.  We are all people who no matter what we did in the past or what roads we all started on separately, have all ended up here together to do what we are passionate about.  Build very cool cars.

 The hiring process here is probably the most unorthodox of any company, but it has never let us down.  No person is recruited or courted to work here.  Everyone who works at Torque Customs does so because this is where they want to be.  Our rule is simple if this life isn’t for you, go find the one that is like we all did, but if this is truly what you love to do, then welcome to Torque Customs.

 Torque Customs is a family business.  Our business is building cars to exceed the customers’ expectations.  We love what we do and I think that shows in the work we have accomplished.

 We know there are other builders out there that can do good work, but we don’t consider building cars work.  It’s what we want to do so we believe you will get a far better build from us than the turn and burn car shop down the road. 

 When you take your family out to dinner, do you want the guy preparing your kids meal to be just there to put in his time to get a pay check, or do you want your family to be fed by the cook who loves his work and takes pride in the steps required to serve you his best dish.  None of us can cook a lick, but if we could we’d be that chef.  Our creations are done with care and pride and that sets us apart from the rest.

 Thanks for reading and sorry again for the ramblings, but until you give us a chance to prove to you what a pleasure building your dream car is, you’ll just have to wonder.
